2. Pricing and Payment
Upfront Pricing Policy
We believe in transparent pricing. Before any work begins, our technician will provide you with a written or verbal price estimate. We will not begin work without your explicit approval of the quoted price.
Factors Affecting Price
Final pricing may vary based on:
- Type of lock, door, or vehicle
- Time of service (standard hours vs. after-hours/holiday)
- Complexity of the work required
- Parts and hardware required (locks, key blanks, etc.)
Payment Methods
We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), and digital payments. Payment is due upon completion of service. We do not require payment upfront before beginning work.
No Hidden Fees
The price quoted is the price you pay. There are no hidden service fees, travel fees, or after-hours surcharges beyond what is disclosed in the initial quote.
3. Identity Verification
For the security of all parties, we require proof of authority before performing any lockout service:
- Residential lockout: Government-issued photo ID matching the service address
- Automotive service: Government-issued photo ID plus vehicle registration or title in your name
- Commercial service: Employee ID, business license, or written authorization from property management
We reserve the right to refuse service if we cannot verify that you are authorized to access the property or vehicle. This policy protects you and helps prevent unauthorized access to property.
4. Workmanship Warranty
We stand behind our work with a 30-day workmanship guarantee. If any work we performed fails due to our error within 30 days, we will return to correct it at no additional charge.
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or tampering after service
- Normal wear and tear on mechanical lock components
- Manufacturer defects in parts (covered separately by manufacturer warranty)
- Damage caused by third parties after our service is complete
5. Limitation of Liability
970 Locksmith Services carries professional liability insurance. In the event of property damage caused directly by our technician during the course of service, we will work with you to resolve the issue fairly.
Our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed. We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage to locks, doors, or vehicles discovered during service
- Consequential damages arising from a lockout situation (missed appointments, lost business, etc.)
- Damage caused by lock or door hardware defects unrelated to our service
6. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel a service request at any time before the technician arrives at no charge. If our technician has already arrived at your location, a trip fee may apply. We will notify you of any applicable trip fee before dispatching.
7. Right to Refuse Service
970 Locksmith reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who:
- Cannot provide adequate proof of authority to access the property or vehicle
- Is visibly intoxicated or behaving in a threatening or dangerous manner
- Requests service that would facilitate illegal activity
8. Service Area
Our primary service area is Northern Colorado, including but not limited to Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Timnath, Johnstown, Wellington, Greeley, and Berthoud. We may accept service requests outside this area at our discretion, which may be subject to additional travel fees disclosed upfront.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved in Larimer County, Colorado.

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
